funmemo prices by animations, so it helps to see how photos, animations, and minutes relate before you look at a number.

An animation is one five-second clip in which one photo slowly becomes the next. Two photos make one animation. Three photos make two. So the number of photos you need is always the number of animations plus one.

Twelve animations, at five seconds each, come to about one minute of video. Add the opening card with their name and your message, and the closing card at the end, and a 12-animation video runs a little over a minute.

Start by counting your photos

The simplest way to choose is to count the usable photos you actually have, subtract one, and find the pack that covers it. Thirteen good photos is a Mini. Thirty is the three-minute pack. Between packs? Buy the smaller one and add a +12 animations top-up for $19 later, since credits never expire. Within a few photos of the next pack, the next pack is the better deal.

Mini, $29: one chapter

Twelve animations cover one stretch of a life well. A child's birthday from newborn to now. Four years of college for a graduation. A one-minute vertical clip for Instagram. Also the right pack if you only found a dozen good photos: a tight minute beats a slack three.

2 minutes, $49: Mother's Day, Father's Day, an anniversary

Twenty-four animations is enough to cover a whole life in broad strokes, about one photo every two or three years. It suits a Mother's Day or Father's Day gift, or an anniversary video about one of the two of you, and it stays short enough to hold everyone's attention at the table.

3 minutes, $69: the milestone birthday

This is the most popular pack, and the reason is the 70th birthday. Thirty-seven photos is roughly one for every two years of a seventy-year life, which is the density where the growing-up effect feels continuous rather than jumpy. Ninety-six animations, about eight minutes. This is the pack for the person who scanned every album. It is less a party video and more a keepsake, something to sit down with. It makes sense when you already have close to a hundred good photos in hand.

• Voice narration, +$12. Strongest for memorials and retirements, where a spoken message carries more than a caption.

Usually skip

• Rush queue, +$9. Most animations are ready in two to five minutes and a whole video in about twenty. If the party is next week, you do not need this. If the party is tonight, it is cheap insurance.
• Vertical version, +$15. Already included on the three-minute pack and up. Only add it to the Mini or two-minute pack if you really will post to Stories or Reels.
• +12 animations, +$19. Useful when a sibling turns up with more photos after you have bought a pack. Not worth buying in advance.
