Photos to gather, in order

  1. 1A baby or toddler photo, the older the better
  2. 2A school portrait or a birthday around age 6 to 10
  3. 3A teenager: prom, a bike, the first job
  4. 4The wedding day, or their twenties
  5. 5Holding you (or your sibling) as a baby
  6. 6A birthday or holiday in their 40s or 50s
  7. 7Something from the last year or two, smiling

70th birthday questions

Do old black-and-white photos work?+

Yes, and they often come out best. Photograph the print with your phone in daylight, straight on, no glare. Prints from the 1950s and 60s blend beautifully into color photos from later decades. Add the Restore old photos option if the print is scratched or very faded.

Can I include photos of her with other people?+

For the growing-up effect, each photo should show her alone, since the blend needs the same face on both sides. Group photos, the whole family and pets work in the Classic style, which brings each photo to life on its own.

How do I play it at the party?+

Download the MP4 and AirPlay or cast it, put it on a USB stick for the TV, or open the private gift link on the TV's browser. For a projector or a big screen, add HD 1080p at checkout.

Can my siblings add their voices?+

Add Voice narration and either type a message that a warm voice reads, or upload a recording you made together on a phone. You can also put a line from each of you in the opening card.

What if I only have four photos?+

Four photos makes three animations, about 15 seconds with the opening and music. It still lands. But ask around first: siblings, cousins and old friends usually turn up a few more.

I'm not great with technology. Is this hard?+

If you can text a photo, you can do this. Upload, drag to reorder if we got the age order wrong, pick music, press make. A real person answers the chat if you get stuck.
